BBSR Airport is a key civil aviation hub in Eastern India. It houses two active passenger terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, along with a dedicated International Cargo Terminal to support freight operations. The airport features a single primary runway, 14/32, used for all major flight operations. It is supported by two taxiways, one intersecting and one parallel. The intersecting taxiway primarily handles light aircraft movements, while the full-length parallel taxiway facilitates efficient operations for narrow-body aircraft. The client focused on the delivery of a strong foundation in the airport to support successful landing and operation of flights.
The main requirement of the BBSR Airport was two primary terminals along with an international terminal for freight operations. It also demanded a single primary runway along with two intersecting taxiways for smooth operation and landing of the flights. Furthermore, it required proper facilities for the passenger such as booking counter, restroom, eating and dining facilities, shopping facilities, park and fly, convenience center, luggage pickup and drop facilities, E-visa facility and spa facility.
